Yellow fever is endemic in parts of sub-Saharan Africa and South America, yet its principal vectors--species of mosquito of the genus Aedes--are found throughout tropical and subtropical latitudes. Phylogenetic analyses indicate that yellow fever originated in Africa and that its spread to the New World coincided with the slave trade, but why yellow fever has never appeared in Asia remains a mystery. None of several previously proposed explanations for its absence there is considered satisfactory.
Afro-Asians or African-Asians are African communities that have been living in the Indian Subcontinent for hundreds of years and have settled in countries such as PakistanIndia and Sri Lanka. This includes the Sheedis who have been settled in Sindh, Gujarat and Karnataka for approximately to years and Kaffirs in Sri Lanka. It is generally believed that it was smaller in scale though accurate records were seldom kept not because they were transporting fewer people, but also because traders would intentionally not bother documenting their transactions.

Handler and Michael L. Tuite Jr. British involvement in slavery is over 2, years old, but not in what is now the accepted perspective.
Africa and China have had contact for more than a thousand years. Some scholars assert that the contacts began as early as 4th century A. Beginning with the Tang dynasty A.
Among the factors which have aided in producing industrial unrest on the Pacific Slope during the past decades has been the almost unrestricted pouring in of alien races, particularly the Chinese. The question has assumed grave importance, especially in California, where almost every political contest during the past twenty years has been some bearing upon the so-called colonization of the Chinese in America and their usurpation of the industrial field of the American citizen. This was done, the woman being taken into court and fought over for several weeks, during which the world at large became aware that there existed in America a system of slavery as obnoxious and debased as could be found in any slave-dealing country of to-day.
Slavery has existed all throughout Asiaand forms of slavery still exist today. The early Arab invaders of Sind in the 8th century, the armies of the Umayyad commander Muhammad bin Qasimare reported to have enslaved tens of thousands of Indian prisoners, including both soldiers and civilians. This unusually low price made, according to Al-Utbi, "merchants [come] from distant cities to purchase them, so that the countries of Central Asia, Iraq and Khurasan were swelled with them, and the fair and the dark, the rich and the poor, mingled in one common slavery". Elliot and Dowson refers to "five hundred thousand slaves, beautiful men and women.
When many people think of slavery, they think of the translatlantic trade that took place between Africa, the Americas and the Caribbean. The legacy of enslavement in the Americas particularly in the United States is known globally through the cultural and political impact of African-American iconography, films, history and references in popular culture. For many people of African descent across the world, it is one of the clearest historical links that binds us together, even if we do not have west African or American ancestry.
Migration and diaspora studies are becoming more and more important with the increased movement of people across national borders and even continents. Being entangled with slavery and the slave trade, African diaspora studies have caught the attention of those outside academia also. Diasporists themselves are researching their ancestral histories and the rationale behind dispersals from their homelands, which has a momentum of its own. Whilst there has been much scholarship on the westwards movement of Africans, what happened on the other side of Africa has received far less attention.
